Rants and Raves
Really?!

My back hurts. I woke up this morning with a stiffness in my back that I just could not stand! My roommate is a massage therapist, so I asked her to look at it, because I could feel something strange going on in one set of muscles in my lumbar back. She felt it really quick and then said, “Go put your heating pad on it.”

I know you’re probably thinking that was a normal response, but it’s not. Not for her. When she was in school, all she wanted to do was help people feel better. Now I can’t even beg her for a massage! (I have-I got nothing.) I’m not trying to sound like I’m taking advantage of her because she’s a massage therapist, because I don’t feel like I am… She has received 3 massages from me since we graduated massage school together. I’ve received ONE after begging for it, and since then, begging no longer works. And that was months ago.

Well, maybe she’s tired, too busy, etc. Okay, fine. What if she’s been using my massage chair every single day to further her own career and not even giving a shit whether or not I need it to further mine? I’ve used it twice since she started using it, and each time had to put in a special request. To use my own chair. Sigh.

I love my roommate. I couldn’t have gotten much luckier in the world of people to live with. But this particular thing bothers me. I am half tempted to go to the business where she provides chair massage and get in line! I hate writing unhappy things about her, but I really needed to get it off my chest. I couldn’t exactly vent to my roommate.

So anyway, if anyone has any ideas on how to approach the matter, that’d be great. Otherwise, at least I was able to vent without hurting her feelings, which I care very much about.

I hope you all have a fantastic day!!!
